EXTERNAL LAYOUT
One double shadowlite glass, stripes at the upper section dark facing outside on the sliding door.
One offside cassette type window next to the stretcher.
One near side top sliding window behind the sliding door complete with mesh guard.
Rear window will be fitted with a white infill.


MISCELLEANOUS
Fitting of quick release retainer brackets to the rear doors to maintain them in 90° posiiton.
Smooth Type yellow grab handles to both sides of rear doors.
Rear doors are fastened in the open position by the means of two locating bars at the bottom of each door, which operate on a twin, fixed pivot system.


LOADING SYSTEM - STRETCHER FIXATION
One Bariatric compact inboard acess ramp. The edge of the ramp floor incorporates red illuminated polycarbonate striping lamp module, to enhance the safety of the vehicle and to interlocked with the courtesy light switch on th erear doors.

The surface of the ramp is completely covered with a durable, non-slip 3M tape, including, any stainless steel covering. No non-slip tape to be placed on the soft edging of the ramp

A flush fitting handle is to be fitted to the right hand corner of the ramp, for manual override facility


FIXING OF THE STRETCHER
Fixation for a Ferno Cen Compliant 2 part locking mechanism, end operation footplate, able to lock Ferno Pegasus Stretcher Series. The stretcher is mounted in order to deploy the sliding side rest of a Ferno Megasus Stretcher. One position for Bariatric and normal use.

One heavy duty winch is fitted under the central rear facing seat next to the head end seat. The winch is capable of pulling the weigh of the stretcher and its maximum patietn carry weight. The operating controls is mounted at the rear nearside saloon door aperture.

INTERNAL EQUIPMENT

 

 LAYOUT The interior of the Ambulance body is manufactured from GRP“S” light weight White panels, incorporating adequate reinforcing for assembly, body mounting and for the installation of interior panelling, fittings and equipment :
10g reinforcement bars are fitted to the roof to prevent roll over damage
Steel plate to reinforce the fixing points are fixed to the nearside and offside.

OFFSIDE
A cantrail locker with 4 partitions, the first one against the bulkhead has lockable open up wood door to contain the drugs and the 3 others have polycarbonate reinforced doors with struts.

The heater stored in the lower part with one inlet and one outlet. An easy access panel is fitted for maintenance purposes.
Above a storage for the fixation of the spinal board on the side with two graveley fastners and two straps.
Two rows of N°4 SLINGSBY boxes.Position under front off side cupboard.
Fitting of Oxygen bottles (see oxygen chapter)

NEARSIDE
Yellow handles are fitted near the sliding door on the right pillar.Two seats with integral diagonal seat belts with a 45’ swivel stop position with base lift up. These seats are not able to lock at 90 degrees. Two armrests per seat, not adjustable.

ROOF
4 audio speakers are fitted on the roof ceiling above the stretcher.
Aerials access for Communications (Terrafix, two way VHF radio, Digital Radio (ARP), Cell Phone & EPRF...)
 
BULKHEAD
The bulkhead partition is to be manufactured from a composite sandwich of GRP“S including a sliding window (thick Polycarbonate) stopping window vibrating.
One rearward facing attendant’s bench seat at the head end of the stretcher central in front of the stretcher with lap strap. A seamless bump pad is fitted above the seat for head protection.One Intellitec Emergency Time Manager Clock
One blind operated from the cab
One wolf Type Intercom for communication between saloon and drivers cab.
One A3 holder.
One Parabag storage cupboard beside the sliding door to carry the Mangar Elk Cushion (670 high).  The cupboard is made higher enabling extra storage space.
Storage of a scoop stretcher to the partition wall between bulkhead and parabag storage compartment.
 
REAR DOORS
Possibility for the fixation of a stryker Stair Pro carrying chair.
Possibility for the fixation of a Ferno Compact 2 chair.
A rear camera enable staff to see who is around at the rear of the vehicle.
 
CAB
The modules of the Genisys electrical management system are fitted against the bulkhead on the cabside
Supply and fitting of the following devices :
one fire extinguisher 2kg AFFF extinguisher
two coat hooks at the top corner of the bulkhead
Personal kit storage between passenger and driver seat


OXYGEN
The oxygen pipline is manufactured Messer's Oxylitre LtdOxygen flometers (rotary type) could be supplied as an option.
The patient compartment is equipped with an oxygen system, capable of delivery and storage of oxygen. It has the capability for dual manifold oxygen system and CEN compliant storage of 2 x MGS 10 ltr cylinders.
Three oxygen outlets are fitted, i.e. one twin to the offside and one signal to the near side. the outletsare positioned in such way that the cant rail lockers do not obstruct flowmeters. the flowmeters are positioned where no injury patients can occur.
Storage for three MGS 2 litre Cupboard doors have a samll compressed Gas triangle sticker

 
ELECTRICAL  MAIN EQUIPMENT
110 AMP AGM Battery.
One emergency start battery.
One Genesys Carnation Electronic battery management system.
One incubator terminal to the offside wall of the patine tcompartment adjacent to the stretcher trolley.
One Lugo Mcgurk 110 V auto eject socket to the o/s body panel adjacent to the driver's door.
All Saloon controls & operating panel are placed in the upper part of the uinfill behind the sliding door in between the tow seats on the near side.

One Xantrex automatic battery charger 12volts 50 amps 110volt input charger


POWER SOCKETS
One DC power in the monitor area.  (1) Large (1) small DIN plug are fitted so to operate horizontally on walls and vertically on cupboard tops.

Four, one of each, Din Plug Large and small outlet sockets complete for 12-volt supply via separate circuit breakers.  One of each to the offside rear of the saloon, two of each on either side of the patient compartment at the front, and one of each to be positioned in the front n/s equipment locker.


AIR CONDITIONING / CENTRAL HEATING
One controlled heater complete with 10 minutes shut down kit.
One joint intake & extractor fan into the ceiling.
One air-conditioning system
One extractor fan to extract gases fitted to the near side lower wall between the two seats (Scavenger Extractor)
 

VISUAL AND AUDIBLE WARNING SYSTEM
Auxiliary lighting is designed as follow :
2 x blue/blue light head clear lens, (not blue coloured lens) positioned to front above side load door.
2 x blue/blue light head clear lens (not blue coloured lens)  positioned to rear quarter corners of high roof section directly above rear scene light.
All are mounted on GRP plinths to give correct angle of light.
Two white/blue light head clear lens (not blue coloured lens) (blue below white LED) are fitted to a plint on the front grille of the vehicle to ensure they are vertical and facing forward. The distance between the centre lines of the headlamp to the centre line of the lamp is to be approximately 300mm.
Two, blue, front wing LED’s. Clear lens (not blue coloured lens).
4 LED Linear White lamp cluster into both rear lower red lens of the rear light cluster. To alternate with rear reds when handbrake applied.
Clear LED Blue Hide Away to be recessed within the rear light cluster, reverse lens on both sides.
2 x 12 volts LED light. One is above driver and one above passenger.
Individually switched LED down lights over passenger & driver seat.A reverse bleeper with cab controlled rocker switch, for night silent facility is disarmed on sidelights.
Front & reverse sensors fitted to front bumpers & rear doors.Courtesy LED lamps to both the side load door and the ramp areas, switched to operate when the doors are opened and the saloon lights are on.
2 x rechargeable hand torch into cab.Fit two, twin compact flush mounted scene lights one to either side of the body, at central height.  They are switched independently and the switches clearly marked left and right and illuminate. Their position are in the immediate area adjacent to the side of the vehicle mounted at the rear of the vehicle.  Small scene lamps are mounted at the front side for house spotting.
Fit 2 x halogen 12v 27w clear light head positioned to front over driver and passenger cab doors.


PATIENT COMPARTMENT ILLUMINATION
The illumination level, achieves 300LUX y the use of SIX colours balanced fluorescent tube units, complete with opal diffusers and inverters.  The lighting conforms to CEN regulation section 4.5.6.  + 2 flush lights over stretcher and lower attendant’s seat near side.
The lighting is TO-WAY switched with 50% dim facility, from controls mounted on the cab fascia and waist height on the offside rear door pillar.
3x12 volt spot lamps over stretcher under counter rail cupboard.
Fit 1x 12-volt spot lamp under near side counter rail cupboard over attendant’s seat.


AUDIBLE WARNING SYSTEM
One electronic, 100w, three sound warning system is to be supplied and fitted.  Yelp, Wail, Piercer. The power speaker driver is mounted in the engine bay behind near side headlamp and directed out of the front bumper of the vehicle using a modified thin Acoustic speaker tubing.  Siren operates and is controlled through vehicle horn.

The change of tones should be via the vehicle horn ring transfer controller. siren pattern to be Yelp/Wail/Piercer.

COMMUNICATIONS
One security camera video date recording system and monitor screens, one in cab & the second to be flush fitted within the bulkhead.

 
EXTERNAL LIVERY According to the NHS Trust requirements
